E-commerce overview
Your accountant
splits out
every settlement
Your money comes in through payment gateways and marketplaces. They pay out sales, refunds and commissions in a single settlement, and often invoice you from another EU country. Once your sales to consumers elsewhere in the EU pass €10,000 a year, VAT usually follows the customer’s country.
Each platform’s settlements reach the Numonis platform on their own, and you upload your purchase invoices. Your accountant records every sale apart from its commission, matches the net payout with the bank when your plan includes reconciliation, and files your VAT returns on time, along with your OSS returns if you need them.
What we handle
Your accountant knows the tax traps of selling online
The questions that come up when you sell online, in Spain and across the EU, and how your accountant deals with each one.
-
IAE heading and VAT by product
Your accountant picks the retail heading for what you sell, such as group 651 for clothing or 653.2 for electronics, and sets each product up at its VAT rate.
-
EU sales and OSS
We track your sales to EU consumers against the €10,000 threshold and file your quarterly Modelo 369 through the One Stop Shop, so you don’t register in each country.
-
Recargo de equivalencia
Usually mandatory if you’re an autónomo reselling goods unchanged to consumers, even when a platform stores and ships them for you. It does not apply to companies.
-
Platform commissions
When a platform based in another EU country invoices you its fees, we declare them by reverse charge, with ROI registration and Modelo 349 under key I.
-
Settlements and stock
We break each settlement into sales, refunds and commissions, match the net with the bank and adjust your stock at year-end.
-
DAC7 reporting
Marketplaces report your sales to the Tax Agency on Modelo 238, net of commissions. Your accounts show where the difference comes from.

FAQ
What people ask before joining Numonis
Do I have to charge VAT from other EU countries?
If you ship from Spain, sales to consumers in other EU countries usually carry Spanish VAT up to €10,000 a year. Above that, you charge the VAT of the customer’s country and can declare it through the One Stop Shop (OSS).
Does recargo de equivalencia apply if I sell online?
Yes, if you are an autónomo who resells goods without transforming them, mainly to consumers. It is mandatory, and it does not apply to limited companies.
Do marketplaces report my sales to the Tax Agency?
Platforms covered by DAC7 file Modelo 238 with your details, amounts, number of sales and commissions, unless you have fewer than 30 sales and no more than €2,000 a year.
Does Numonis connect to Shopify, WooCommerce, Stripe or Amazon?
Yes. Shopify, WooCommerce, Stripe and Amazon connect to the Numonis platform, so your sales, fees and payouts reach your accountant without you exporting anything.
How much does it cost?
It depends on whether you trade as an autónomo or a company and how many transactions you move. Plans for autónomos start at €49 + VAT a month and plans for companies at €99 + VAT a month. OSS adds €59 + VAT to set up and €39 + VAT a month.
