Food trucks overview
Your food truck’s
numbers,
event by event
A food truck has the same tax and payroll obligations as a bar, but it moves between streets, markets, festivals and private events. Its income follows the season, and every place you set up asks for different permits.
You upload tickets and invoices from your phone with the Numonis platform, and your till’s sales arrive on their own. Your accountant checks the numbers and files your VAT and income tax on time, and the monthly close shows you what each event really leaves you.
What we handle
The same rules as a bar, on four wheels
Your accountant is with you from the first registration to the busy season, and a payroll specialist joins in when you hire.
-
Registration and IAE
Your accountant registers you with Hacienda on Modelo 036, usually under IAE group 675 if you prepare and sell food and drink from the truck.
-
VAT on food and drink
Food and drink for eating on the spot go at 10%. Products you sell as goods, such as packaged drinks, go at their own rate, which is sometimes 21%.
-
Quarterly returns
Modelo 303 for VAT and Modelo 130 for income tax every quarter. Before you register, your accountant also compares your numbers under modules (Modelo 131).
-
Truck and event costs
Fuel, maintenance, insurance and the truck’s depreciation can be deductible when the truck is used for the business. Each market or festival fee goes in too.
-
Seasonal and event staff
Your payroll specialist registers each hire with Social Security before the first shift, uses fijo discontinuo contracts for seasons that repeat and does payroll under the hospitality agreement that applies.
-
RETA and permits
We adjust your autónomo contribution base to each season and tell you which permits to request and from whom. You submit the applications yourself.
Let’s talk before the season starts.

FAQ
What people ask before joining Numonis
Which IAE heading does a food truck use?
If you prepare and serve food and drink from the truck, it’s usually group 675, according to the Tax Agency and the DGT. Having a heading doesn’t mean paying the tax: individuals are exempt from IAE.
Do you handle my licences and permits?
No. Your accountant tells you which permits you need and from whom, but the holder submits the municipal applications and the health notification to the regional authority.
Should I use modules or estimación directa?
Group 675 can use modules (Modelo 131), but if you’ve put a lot into the truck and kitchen, estimación directa usually reflects your costs better. Leaving modules has deadlines, so your accountant compares both with your numbers before you register.
Does Numonis connect to my till or SumUp?
Yes. Your till, Stripe and SumUp connect to the Numonis platform, so your sales reach your accountant on their own, and they reconcile them with the bank if your plan includes reconciliation.
How much does it cost?
Plans for autónomos start at €49 + VAT a month for your quarterly filings. Grow, at €129 + VAT a month, adds payroll for one employee, and each additional employee is €17.50 + VAT a month.
